The Meteorological Department stated that showers and strong winds are expected in the Southwestern part of the country in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern Provinces in the next few days. Thundershowers at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Northwestern provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts. Showers or thundershowers during the evening or night in a few places in the Eastern and Uva provinces.
