Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady added that the meeting also tackled the implementation status of the Grand Egyptian Museum project. President Sisi giving directives to finalize it in line with the latest techniques and trends to reflect the magnitude of the ancient Egyptian civilization. Last June, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Khaled El-Anany, went on a tour to the Grand Egyptian Museum to inspect preparations as GEM prepares for opening. The project has reached 98% complete, with artefacts completely installed in the Great Hall and Grand Staircase. Major General Atef Moftah, General Supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum Project and the Surrounding Area, also revealed the details regarding the new museum being constructed besides the GEM main building to house King Khufu's boats.
