CAIRO – 18 September 2021: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi followed up on Saturday on achieving optimum use of wain water and floods in developing rain-fed agriculture. Sisi also followed up on the national project for seed production, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said in a statement. Sisi followed up, during the meeting, on the joint efforts between the ministries of irrigation and agriculture in the field of sequestering and distributing rainwater and torrential rain. This aims to prevent the waste of these water resources and to achieve optimal use of it in rainy areas nationwide. Sisi urged continuing efforts to achieve optimum use of all available water resources in the Republic in integration with the state’s efforts in the national project of lining canals.
