Interesting article in The Athletic looking at the revenues and expenses of the Sweet Sixteen teams. Michigan is middle of the pack at $20.9 million in revenue and $15.7 million in expenses. Head coach salaries showcase range of Dan Hurley at UConn making over $8 million down to Pitino in last at $2.4 million. The only coach in the Sweet Sixteen making less than Jake is Pitino and that was by only a few hundred thousand. So it's certainly not on the revenue and expense side (even with Holtmann's buyout) that we lack money nor are we low compared to most of the Sweet Sixteen teams.
