High viewership of sports, reality TV, our local soap opera and daily news have resulted in TVNZ+ reporting its biggest streaming month ever. In June, TVNZ recorded almost 44 million streams across 1.27 million accounts, with the Euros, Love Island UK, Shortland Street and 1News at Six drawing viewers to the on-demand platform. It’s this diversity in content, alongside live and free sporting events, that is driving success, says TVNZ Chief Content Officer, Nevak Rogers. TVNZ will be the home of the Euros again in 2028, when the tournament is hosted across the UK and Ireland. One year of TVNZ+ Sports Hub has seen almost 910,000 (AP13+) accounts deliver just shy of 15.4 million streams.
