"Stuff isn't just reproducing what we've always had," said WBD Vice President, Head of Networks ANZ, Juliet Peterson. On April 15, it was confirmed WBD had filed a trademark claim for the names "Three News" and "ThreeNews" in the wake Newshub's closure. Stuff had lodged the trademark with the New Zealand Intellectual Properties Office on Monday, April 15, just one day before it was revealed the company would take over production of the bulletin. In May, Stuff announced it had hired current Newshub Live at 6pm presenter Samantha Hayes to be the main presenter for its new bulletin. The new 6pm bulletin will be broadcast seven days a week, starting on July 6.
