Tour of famous sites crosses two countiesI walked into the Liberty Belle on Francis Street just after 9.30am on a mild January morning. The pub, voted Best Local Pub 2024 in the Irish Pub Awards, has a cosy, ­family-oriented feel. Tom Young, the owner, greeted everyone with a smile, introducing us to the historians, storytellers and tour attendee Alan Mercel-Sanca, who is pushing to have the Liberties recognised as a Unesco heritage site.
