The UNDP and Libya’s Ministry of Planning and Ministry of Local Government launched the Local Peacebuilding and Resilience in southern Libya on Wednesday. The three entities are partnering with local authorities, civil society, and the private sector to create inclusive and sustainable peace at the community level. The programme aims to improve trust between citizens and local institutions and enhance basic services and livelihood opportunities for people in the south of Libya, the UNDP reports.
