Steel prices in Vietnam continue fallingMany steelmakers in Vietnam have slashed the steel prices for the second time since June 7. Before June 7, steel products in Vietnam saw price hikes for quite a long time. Vietnam was reliant on imported raw materials for steel production, including iron ore, scrap steel, fat coal and graphite electrodes. The new plant will have $2 billion investment and create 5,000 high-tech jobs. However, the current foreign investment mobilisation policies of Vietnam were not deemed attractive enough for the company to follow through.
