Jamaat-e-Islami nominated MP candidate Abdus Sattar has accused the Jubo Dal of attacking his election rally in Jamalpur. Meanwhile, the Jubo Dal has alleged a counter-attack, claiming Jamaat leaders and activists had earlier hit one of their leaders. Former Sadar Upazila Jamaat chief Shariful Islam claimed Jubo Dal ambushed them while they were campaigning for the elections. Later, Ranagacha union Jubo Dal organised a counter-rally, calling Jamaat’s allegations “false”. Its President Rizvi Ahmed Jewel said the clash began after Jamaat men hit a Jubo Dal leader.
