His cousin, Arnold Ulises Hernández, said they were encouraged to join the caravan after finding out about it on social networks. AdvertisementThe vast majority of migrants cross Central America and Mexico in small groups, using all types of transportation and smuggling networks. Since then, the caravans were stopped first in southern Mexico and later in Guatemalan territory. Days before Honduran President Xiomara Castro took office in January 2022, a similar group of some 600 migrants departed from San Pedro Sula and was disbanded by Guatemalan security forces.

Action on Saturday from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations ended with a 1-1 draw between Mali and Tunisia in a Group E match played in Korhogo. Mali will face Namibia where they will look for a victory to secure first place. Amrouche was banned and the Tanzanian soccer federation fined $10,000 “following comments and allegations he made in the media about Royal Moroccan Football Federation,” the African soccer confederation (CAF) said in a statement on Saturday. The Tanzania soccer federation had said Friday that CAF banned the 55-year-old Amrouche following a complaint from the Morocco federation. Morocco beat the Taifa Stars 3-0 in their opening game in Group F on Wednesday. Hemed Suleiman was taking over as acting head coach for Tanzania’s other group games against Zambia on Sunday and Congo on Wednesday.
