About 8 lakh officials will be engaged in election duty in the 13th national parliamentary elections and referendum to be held on Thursday. A total of 2,028 candidates from 50 political parties and independent ones, are contesting in 299 seats in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad polls slated for Thursday.
