DHAKA, Jan 26, 2026 (BSS) - At least 12 journalists were injured in an attack by extortionists and terrorists in front of Dream Holiday Park in Madhabdi of Narsingdi this evening. A court has issued arrest warrants against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 40 other absconding suspects in two cases over the killings of freight truck driver Md Hossain and autorickshaw driver Shobuj in Dhaka's Mohammadpur during the 2024 July Uprising. RAJSHAHI, Jan 26, 2026 (BSS)- Three people, including a university student, were killed in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi. The deceased student was identified as Shanto Islam, a student of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department at Barendra University, a private university in Rajshahi. Another unidentified woman and a man also died while being taken to the hospital with injuries.
