Some of the recruitment tests for the National Board of Revenue (NBR) have been postponed for a week as they originally fell during Durga Puja holidays, when educational institutions are closed. NBR First Secretary (Board Administration) and Secretary of the Divisional Election/Recruitment Committee Md Zahid Newaz provided the information in a statement on Sunday. The recruitment tests were scheduled to be held at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Government Girls' High School in the capital. Now they will be held at the same venue but on Oct 11. The results were announced on the same day and the written examination date was set for Oct 11.

Shaheed Ahmed Mojumdar, the youngest son of former MP Kamal Ahmed Mojumder, has been arrested by police on charges of murder and terrorism.
