We’re targeting the free agents who we feel that we have a really good shot at.” CBC.ca’s Shireed Ahmed wrote “strategy and planning becomes essential until the time” that Brondello has a squad.

Liam Ramos was essentially used "as bait," said Columbia Heights Public Schools (CHPS) Superintendent Zena Stenvik in a statement Wednesday. Liam Ramos is seen reportedly being detained by ICE in Columbia Heights, Minn., outside his home on Tuesday. In her statement, Stenvik said the family "is following U.S. legal parameters" and has an active asylum case with no order of deportation.
I am sure we all sound like a broken record lately, but this is one of the biggest issues for this Dallas Cowboys team heading into the 2026 season. The defense was the worst in football, and the secondary was a huge reason why they were so bad. If the #Cowboys hire Jonathan Gannon as the defensive coordinator, just know I said what I said. I don’t think he makes it that far down the draft board, but we have about a 50/50 chance that he does. Even if they get Delane, they have to sign a solid free agent for this secondary.

But that visit, which concluded earlier this week with a potentially important trade deal between the two countries, was not officially at the invitation of Xi. On September 23, Li and Carney met in person in New York City at a United Nations General Assembly session. When Carney finally arrived in Beijing last week, he also met with Li, before the final touches on the trade deal were resolved. The thawing of relations and the trade deal with Canada are consistent with his world view and policy priorities — perhaps more so than Xi. From the perspective of Canadian trade, there’s no comparison between the two as trade partners.
U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had accepted his invitation to join Trump's Board of Peace initiative aimed at resolving global conflicts, a statement that Putin quickly countered, saying that the invitation was only under consideration. He’s accepted,” Trump told reporters at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, after meeting with NATO chief Mark Rutte. Soon after Trump's comments, however, Putin told the Russian security council that the foreign ministry was still studying the proposal and would respond in due course. However, Carney also agreed to join Trump’s ‘board of peace’ to help rebuild Gaza. Trump has explained inviting Russia to the board by saying he wants all nations involved, especially those with powerful leaders.
