"I give my land also situate at Achimota Forest in the name of Fasoh Limited and measuring 0.987 acres to my nephews Michael Owusu, Yaw Boadu and Kwabena Amoateng, forever. "I jointly own a piece of land at Achimota Forest with Charles Owusu, upon my demise, my portion of the said land should be given to Ruth Korkor Odonkor. The Ministry assures the general public and the good people of Ghana that it will ensure that the national interest is protected at all times, especially in matters pertaining to the Achimota Forest.

The Nkoranza Youth Association has accused the Member of Parliament of the area Emmanuel Agyekum of exploiting the tensions in the area for political gains. “While the Omanhene was meeting representatives of the Nkoranza youth on Tuesday at his palace to deliberate on an amicable solution of the problem with the Police, the MP was also meeting some youth group at the Queenmother’s palace to call for demonstration. Each part of the country has unique rites performed during traditional marriage ceremonies and some interesting rites are performed in the Northern part of the country. For the Frafra tribe, before a man can call a woman his wife, he needs to perform a rite called “nu’uhe gme’a”. ‘Nu’uhe gme’a’ is performed by the man’s family sending the marriage emissary to the woman’s house. But if a man does not perform the nu’uhe gme’a rites, he cannot hold a funeral ceremony for the dead wife.
