According to a news report by Kessben TV, Kojo Kum has written to the national leadership of the NPP that he wants to step down for health reasons on two occasions. The Kessben TV report indicated that the party’s leadership wants the Ahanta West legislator to continue, but his family is insisting that he has to resign because he cannot continue due to his health. Meanwhile, Nana Addo Barimah who is head of the family told GhanaWeb that as early 6:00am, most of his people had arrived at the Kumasi High Court 2 to avoid escaping the case. "We trust the court is going to deliver to our satisfaction, but, the only disappointment we still at heart is how we were misled in the first sitting at the high court here. Inspector Ahmed Twumasi who is standing trials at the Asokore Mampong District Court for allegedly murdering Victoria Dapaah, was later transferred to the Kumasi High Court where he has been standing trials for two different occasions. But, he however, urged his family to exercise patience since there was a firm conviction that the court will deliver justice to satisfaction.

Speaking on his Good Evening Ghana show (July 25), Adom-Otchere said checks by his team with the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) shows that nothing of the sort was found during their search on July 24. It has no source, neither the Special Prosecutor or his deputy. "Because our sources indicate that the Special Prosecutor has said it is not true," he added. The accident which occurred on the main Somanya-Dodowa road of the Kpong-Accra highway involved a Toyota Fish with Registration number GN 9319-21 and a KIA saloon car with Registration number GW 2385-15. Details available to this portal indicate that the nine passengers together with the driver and a female lecturer at the UESD sustained various degrees of injury when the commercial Toyota Fish rammed into the KIA saloon car being driven by the lecturer. Blaming the lecturer for the accident, he added that the Toyota which was reportedly heading towards Accra from Ho, somersaulted in the process before landing on its roof. The accident victims include 4 minors including a year, a 9-month, a two-year as well as an eight-year-old children and six adults including six females and four males. The said video showed water rushing through the classroom, an uncompleted structure made of a short wall and a roof. Teaching and learning had ceased and all the students could be seen either standing on their tables or holding onto the roof of the classroom for their safety. The teacher, who took the video, was himself taking shelter on a table. Look at the students, some of them are on top of the wall, some are standing on tables,” the teacher could be heard saying.
