CHENNAI: A 31-year-old woman died after undergoing a procedure at a private fertility clinic in Mandaveli on Saturday, triggering protests by her family who alleged medical negligence. The police said the woman, a homemaker, and her husband, a software professional, from Adhanur, had approached the clinic for fertility treatment as they didn’t have a baby for three years. The doctors allegedly identified a cyst in her uterus and advised her to undergo a minor procedure in the same clinic. The clinic authorities allegedly told the family she would regain consciousness within an hour after the procedure. However, when she did not wake up, she was shifted to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.

Jaishankar spoke late on Saturday with Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, and Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, foreign minister of the United Arab Emirates, to discuss the rapidly evolving situation in West Asia as hostilities between Iran and the United States intensify. “Discussed ongoing developments related to the conflict in West Asia,” Jaishankar said in a social media post on Sunday following his conversation with the Saudi minister. Prices have surged after Iran effectively blocked the strategic Strait of Hormuz — a narrow shipping corridor connecting the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman — through which around 20% of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas supplies transit. The disruption has heightened concerns in major import-dependent economies such as India, which relies heavily on energy supplies from West Asia.

नईदुनिया प्रतिनिधि, इंदौर। रविवार को कमिश्नर ऑफ मेट्रो रेलवे सेफ्टी नीलाभ्र सेनगुप्ता ने अपने छह सदस्यों के साथ मेट्रो के 11.5 किलोमीटर हिस्से में बने वायडक्ट व मेट्रो ट्रैक का निरीक्षण किया। सुबह 10 बजे यह निरीक्षण शुरू हुआ और शाम सात बजे खत्म हुआ। ट्राली पर बैठ सीएमआरएस व उनके सहयोगी सदस्यों ने सुपर कॉरिडोर स्टेशन नंबर 2 से मालवीय नगर तक ट्राली पर बैठकर गए और हर मेट्रो स्टेशन के सामने रुककर ट्रैक का निरीक्षण किया। इसके बाद वे वापस मालवीय नगर से सुपर कॉरिडोर स्टेशन नंबर 2 की ओर लौटे और मेट्रो के डाउन ट्रैक का अवलोकन भी किया।सोमवार को होगा यात्री सुविधाओं और सेफ्टी डोर का परीक्षण सोमवार को सीएमआरएस व उनकी टीम मेट्रो में बैठकर स्टेशन पहुंचेंगे और मेट्रो स्टेशन का निरीक्षण करेंगे। सोमवार को सुपर कॉरिडोर 2 से कुम्हेड़ी आईएसबीटी मेट्रो स्टेशन का निरीक्षण किया जाएगा। ऐसे में सीएमआरएस अपनी टीम के साथ मेट्रो स्टेशन बिल्डिंग में जाकर यात्री सुविधाएं जैसे लिफ्ट, एस्केलेटर, टिकटिंग सिस्टम, फायर ब्रिगेड, इमरजेंसी ब्रेक सिस्टम, प्लेटफार्म पर लगे सेफ्टी डोर का निरीक्षण भी करेंगे। गौरतलब है कि सीएमआरएस का निरीक्षण 18 मार्च तक चलेगा। सोमवार व मंगलवार को 11.5 किलोमीटर हिस्से पर बने 11 मेट्रो स्टेशन का निरीक्षण होगा। 18 मार्च को ट्रैक पर मेट्रो को 80 किलोमीटर प्रतिघंटा की गति से चलाकर स्पीड ब्रेक टेस्ट भी किया जाएगा।
