VIJAYAWADA: Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra on Sunday launched a sharp attack on former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of disrespecting Lord Venkateswara and hurting Hindu sentiments. Addressing a press conference at the TDP office, Ravindra alleged that Jagan had adopted a shameful stance on Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) matters. Ravindra also criticised the display of Lord Venkateswara’s photographs inside the Legislature, noting that rules prohibit religious displays in the Assembly and Council. The Minister further alleged diversion and misuse of TTD funds under the previous regime. Stating that investigations revealed irregularities, Ravindra said people had already delivered their verdict in the elections and warned that attempts to escape accountability would not succeed, stressing that temple sanctity must be preserved.

VIJAYAWADA: The State is set to inaugurate a cutting-edge food laboratory at Tirumala, aimed at ensuring the highest quality standards of prasadam and food served to devotees. Health Minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav has announced that the facility, taken up at a cost of Rs 25 crore, is nearing completion with 90% of the work already finished. The laboratory will test over 60 varieties of raw materials used in prasadam preparation, including ghee, cashew, raisin, almond, chickpea, sugar, cardamom, turmeric and chilli. To address concerns over adulterated ghee, the lab will be equipped with E-Tongue and E-Nose devices imported from France at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore. The initiative follows an agreement signed with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) in October 2024, under which Rs 23 crore was sanctioned.

भास्कर न्यूज, पुणे। पुणे के बाणेर इलाके में विकास के लिए दी गई जमीन के बदले करार के अनुसार फ्लैट नहीं मिलने और कथित मानसिक उत्पीड़न से परेशान होकर एक सेवानिवृत्त अधिकारी ने उसी इमारत की सातवीं मंजिल से छलांग लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली। पुलिस ने इस मामले में दो बिल्डरों के खिलाफ आत्महत्या के लिए उकसाने का मामला दर्ज किया है।मृतक की पहचान नरेश उमाकांत महाजन (69 वर्ष), निवासी अंबरनाथ ईस्ट, जिला ठाणे के रूप में हुई है। महाजन महावितरण में वरिष्ठ पद से सेवानिवृत्त हुए थे। उन्होंने बानेर स्थित अपनी एक निजी जमीन को विकसित करने के लिए 'स्वीटी एसोसिएट्स' के बिल्डरों को दिया था। करार के अनुसार, बिल्डर को उस भूखंड पर बनी इमारत में महाजन को एक फ्लैट देना तय हुआ था।पुलिस रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, जमीन पर सात मंजिला इमारत बनकर तैयार हो गई है और फिनिशिंग का काम चल रहा है। आरोप है कि बिल्डर जयंतीलाल ताराचंद ओसवाल (56) और रिषभ ओसवाल (30) ने करार की शर्तों का उल्लंघन करते हुए महाजन को उनका हक देने से इनकार कर दिया। 16 फरवरी को दोपहर करीब 12 बजे नरेश महाजन बालेवाडी स्थित साइट पर पहुंचे थे। उन्होंने अपने फ्लैट को लेकर बिल्डरों से चर्चा की, लेकिन बिल्डरों ने उन्हें कथित तौर पर धमकाया और मानसिक रूप से परेशान किया।अपमान और मानसिक तनाव को सहन न कर पाने के कारण, महाजन ने उसी इमारत की सातवीं मंजिल से छलांग लगा दी, जिससे उनकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। मृतक के बेटे मयूर नरेश महाजन (41) की शिकायत पर बानेर पुलिस ने दोनों बिल्डरों के खिलाफ आईपीसी की संबंधित धाराओं (आत्महत्या के लिए उकसाने) के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है।सहायक पुलिस निरीक्षक अनिल केकाण इस मामले की विस्तृत जांच कर रहे हैं। पुलिस ने बताया कि बिल्डरों के रवैये और कागजी समझौतों की बारीकी से पड़ताल की जा रही है।
