Moltbook rose to prominence in January, with bots using the forum to complain about humans and discuss plans to break free. NEW DELHI: The government is likely to agree to a discussion on the West Asia conflict and its impact on India’s energy security under Rule 193 in Lok Sabha. Rule 193 of the Lok Sabha Rules of Procedure allows members to raise a ‘short duration discussion’ on matters of critical issues without a formal motion or voting. On Friday, the Opposition members protested inside and outside Parliament, seeking response from the government on the LPG crisis in the country. As soon as the House met for the day, the Opposition members sought to raise the issue of LPG supply situation and price hike. Birla warned the Opposition members against disrupting the Question Hour and stressed the need to maintain decorum.

Instead, the Supreme Court laid down the guidelines for passive euthanasia. Finally in 2018, the Supreme Court laid down detailed guidelines for passive euthanasia when it recognised the right to die with dignity as a fundamental right under Article 21 of the Constitution. With passive euthanasia, this unbearable indignity can be corrected. This indicates the Supreme Court’s recognition that this need may be widespread. It is time that the Supreme Court’s guidelines were complemented by a law permitting passive euthanasia.

IATA's Jet Fuel Monitor indicates an 85+% increase in fuel prices for the region. For its flights, IndiGo has introduced fuel surcharge between Rs 399 and Rs 2,300. Earlier this week, Air India announced a hike in fuel surcharge between Rs 399 and $50 (Rs 4,600) amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia. For domestic and subcontinent flights, IndiGo will be charging a fuel surcharge of Rs 425 while for Middle East flights, passengers will have to pay Rs 900. For South East Asia, China, Africa and West Asia flights, a fuel surcharge is introduced at Rs 1,800, and for Europe it is kept at Rs 2,300.

Apprehensions about getting stranded abroad, soaring airfares and limited seat availability are forcing many Calcuttans to cancel international trips, tour operators said. The war in West Asia has restricted travel largely to essential purposes. Partial closure of airspace has forced Gulf airlines to operate on a reduced scale. IndiGo announced a fuel surcharge on domestic and international routes effective March 14, citing an “85%+” surge in jet fuel prices in West Asia. The surcharge will be ₹425 within India and the subcontinent, ₹900 for the Gulf, ₹1,800 for Southeast Asia, China, Africa and West Asia, and ₹2,300 for Europe.

We do not know when another stock of cylinders will arrive. The residents had planned to include fried items for an iftar at the hostel on Friday. To ensure continuity of meals, we have begun serving simple food to students,” the principal said. “Students have been asked to inform their parents that meals will remain simple until the cylinder shortage is resolved,” the principal said.

A ray of hope emerged on Friday as domestic LPG helplines resumed in phases and commercial cooking gas deliveries restarted, though only partially. HouseholdsQueues at distribution centres became shorter on Friday as some consumers managed to book refills or check their application status over the phone. Some had their requests accepted but did not receive confirmation messages, prompting them to visit distribution centres. On the ground, however, distributors reported that only a fraction of commercial supply had resumed. “I can supply two commercial cylinders to a customer who earlier took 10 cylinders every day,” he said.
