He said the alleged atrocities committed during the protests call for immediate action from the ICC. "As Senior counsel, we are going to document every incident and even revisit the International Criminal Court, talk to them about the atrocities committed against the Kenyans," he said. Kalonzo challenged President William Ruto to speak against the shooting of protesters during the demos. Kalonzo further called out the government spokesperson, police Inspector General and regional commander for not addressing the alleged atrocities on protesters.

Azimio la Umoja coalition co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka visited casualties of the anti-Finance Bill protest at Kenyatta National Hospital on Friday. Kalonzo saw patients with bullet wounds and others with injured fingers in the wards. The patients were injured during Tuesday's protests against the Finance Bill, 2024. He thanked them for fighting for the country and said they were heroes for defending the rights of many Kenyans. The patients also urged Kalonzo to do his best to ensure what they fought for was not in vain.

I still missed my Diet Coke, but I wasn't craving it, and I found other ways to satiate my sweet tooth - with fruit! I found I had peaks and troughs before - perhaps the low after the high of the Diet Coke caffeine and fake sugar rush. I also felt like I should shave off a little weight - but my waistline was my main motivation. Whether it was all down to the Diet Coke ban, or a combination of things - the numbers do not lie. I have allowed myself a Diet Coke with food on an occasional meal out (if I'm driving), but other than that, I have ditched it pretty much.

Companies in the West Midlands reported lower confidence in their own business prospects month-on-month, down 22 points at 36 per cent. The National Heroes Council will forge collaborations with county governments through the Council of Governors for stronger partnerships with the view to honor and recognize national Heroes and Heroines in their respective regions. Optional caesarean surgeries have been temporarily suspended at Homa Bay County Teaching and Referral Hospital for medics to attend to patients with gunshot wounds. Some 11 patients were rushed to the hospital after they were allegedly shot by anti-riot police who were repulsing anti-Finance Bill 2024 protesters from accessing the central business district of Homa Bay town on Thursday. Homa Bay Health executive Roselyn Omollo said they issued the directive to enable medics at the hospital to respond to such emergencies and save lives. Some of them had gunshot wounds including eight people who needed to undergo surgery. The Thursday protests disrupted businesses in Homa Bay town as youths engaged police in running battles.

Kenyans yesterday braved the heavily armed military and anti-riot police officers to storm the streets and protest against the government albeit on a reduced scale. At some point, the excited protesters cheered the military officers as they did patrol rounds around the city before they were dispersed by the police. The central business district and its outskirts, especially the State House road, had a heavy presence of both police and military officers. This happened even as the KDF officers, armed to the teeth, patrolled the city streets and major roads in armoured carriages. The military officers and their artillery had assembled at Nyayo Stadium before they moved to the CBD and other roads.
