On Thursday, Senator Dillon led an array of current and past government officials including former and current Vice Presidents of Liberia to the site to dedicate the facilities in the Rehab Community. According to the Montserrado Senator, the completion of the facility was made possible through help from the Friends of Dillon in the Diaspora and Liberia. The dedication of the youth center comes at a time when Liberia is faced with heightened drug addiction issues. The Company’s mission among other things is to conduct technical study and or survey of the SKD playing pitch with a hope of identifying the specific turf to be subsequently placed on the playing pitch. Greenfield experts as part of their work on Wednesday strategically positioned their gadgets and other equipment, dug some portions of the playing pitch and collected samples. Experts say if work on in a timely manner and form and holding everything constant, the specific artificial turf needed can be laid on the SKD playing pitch before the November home games in Liberia. HARPER, Maryland – A magistrate court sitting in Harper, Maryland County has charged and sent to jail a 30-year-old man for allegedly sodomizing a 13-year-old boy. “After committing the act Knight told the victim he would die if he told anyone. The victim broke his silence to his grandmother and accused Knight of sodomizing him. The matter was later reported to the Women and Children Protection Section (WACPS) of the Liberia National Police headquarters in the county. MONROVIA – The Supreme Court of Liberia condemns, in the strongest terms, the increasing wave of verbal and physical assaults on Justices, Judges and Magistrates. These officials of the Judiciary Branch of Government have, in the past, consistently received threatening phone calls and messages by some unknown people. The Supreme Court reiterates that Justices of the Supreme Court and Judges of subordinate courts, including courts of records and those not of records are required to be left alone to hear and decide all cases that come before them without outside influence. The Honorable Supreme Court calls on all to guide and protect the rule of law as the surest security for the protection of the fundamental rights of everyone living within the Republic of Liberia.
