The statement added that the training will be carried out by a team from the Ministry of Health, NPHIL and IRCL’s project management team. According to the IRCL, the project also includes 21 other senior staff, eight county coordinators and five project management team members. Monrovia – The Liberia Kickball Federation has accused the Chief Patron of Sports, George M. Weah of marginalizing his federation since he took over as President of the nation. The national team of Liberia was given one of the 73 seated buses donated to thegovernment by the Indian government and presented 300 bags of 25 kg rice and 7,000 masks to the national team. “The last seven years the Liberia Kickball Federation has not received a dime from the Government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports,” he said. He noted that last year US$1,050 was approved in the budget for Kickball but the money was not disbursed the association. He disclosed that the bus that was given to the LFA was for all national teams in the country and not only the football national team.

But according to some in the United States’ Intelligence Community, Pyongyang wants to hold on to its nuclear capabilities for deterrence purposes, coercive diplomacy, and respect on the international stage.

These costs include in-country transport cost, costs for cooperating partners supporting the programme, food safety and quality control, casual labour services, household enumeration/registration, among others. These include allocations toward the support costs of the Liberia Country Office directly linked to the execution of the programme (e.g. applicable rental costs, back office staff costs etc) and allocations toward the support costs of WFP Headquarters/Regional Bureau in their oversight and support function, called Indirect Support Costs (ISC).

The Financial Intelligence Unit has admonished the Afriland Bank to put in place mechanism to avoid breach of the regulations on both Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STR) and Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR)Monrovia – The Financial Intelligence Unit of Liberia (FIU) has fined the Afriland Bank the L$250,000 for the violation of section 2.1.2 of the currency transaction reporting regulation. The FIU fined the bank in keeping with its Act of 2012, specifically section 67.39(n). According to a release, Afriland was found to be in breach of the regulation for filing currency transaction report far beyond the required statutory period of three days. The current regime of cash payment over the counter and at ATMs remains a high risk to money laundering and terrorist financing in Liberia,” stated the release. Meanwhile, Afriland Bank has paid the fine and presented the receipt to the FIU.

Nearly 95% of human capital working on the food distribution efforts constitute high paid public sector employees. The questionable allocations to unexplained lines items in the covid19 food distribution budget, heighten the need for more enquiries into procurement and expenditures.
