KUALA LUMPUR (April 6): Transocean Holdings Bhd was on Wednesday (April 6) slapped with an unusual market activity (UMA) query by Bursa Malaysia following a recent sharp rise in its share price and trading volume. In Wednesday morning trade, Transocean's share price rose 27.27% or 75 sen to a high of RM3.50 before easing to RM3.29 at the noon break, still 54 sen or 19.64% up with some 1.05 million shares done. Some countries were already in a governance crisis before Covid, and I would place Malaysia among them. In some ways, Malaysian politics survives on maintaining an unending sense of crisis, in one way or another. Whichever the case, the Covid crisis did come at exactly the same time that the country was already in a new self-generated political crisis. The Malaysian public believes that the way their country is organised is self-damaging, lackadaisical and irretrievably held captive by political games. Train and employ technocrats, enhance technocratic procedures in governance again, and balance them against the position of bureaucrats and politicians.

PETALING JAYA: Sinovac recipients and those aged above 60 who have not received their booster doses and have contracted Covid-19 previously, will be given a three-month grace period to get their booster vaccine dose before losing their fully vaccinated status. However, MySejahtera, in a post on their Facebook page on late Thursday (March 31), encouraged those in this group to receive their booster doses to retain their fully vaccinated status. It added that recipients could choose the time and venue to receive their booster doses. Previously, the Health Ministry had said that Sinovac vaccine recipients and those aged 60 and above would lose their fully vaccinated status on April 1 if they do not receive a booster dose by March 31. In a statement on Wednesday (March 30), Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said that although the group would lose their fully vaccinated status on April 1, they would still be allowed to dine-in at eateries and enter malls.

Let me try again: He’s a daywalking vampire, but, no, not that cool cat Blade. “Morbius” is a forgettable, often laughable, entry in Sony’s attempt to fill its own Spider-Man-adjacent cinematic universe, a poorly edited, derivative time suck — pun intended. What’s astonishing is that despite a whole movie, we know very little about Morbius. At one point, Morbius loses focus as the main guy when Smith’s rival character hijacks the film entirely. “Morbius,” a Sony Pictures release slated for theaters Friday, is rated PG-13 for “intense sequences of violence, some frightening images, and brief strong language.” Running time: 104 minutes.

On another matter, Khairy said citizens of Malaysia and Singapore would be exempted from travel insurance when travelling into the two countries. Malaysia’s travel protocol required travellers arriving in Malaysia to buy Covid-19 travel insurance with a minimum coverage of US$20,000.

GEORGE TOWN: Some of the Malaysians who will lose their vaccinated status for failing to take their booster shots do not really care about the government’s move. Some could not be bothered by the fact, while others said they were too scared to take the booster jab. A senior citizen, who wanted to be known only as Muthu, said he did not mind losing his vaccination status as he only stayed at home with his family. With restrictions being relaxed and borders opening up, Kumitaa said booster doses are important now more than ever. “In Malaysia, there are only 0.1 cases of light AEFI for every 1,000 booster doses administered compared with 0.4 cases per 1,000 with earlier doses.

After getting them to fall in love via these dating and social media sites, the criminals will persuade them into jointly "investing" in cryptocurrencies, on fake popular trading apps. This feature is used for testing the "beta" version of applications before they are submitted to the App Store for distribution.
