NZ is helping bomb a nation for the rules based order but won’t demand an Israeli ceasefire for the rules based order??? We are helping America target the poorest people on earth to bomb them for the ‘rules based order’, but won’t demand Israel does the same? The Houthi will stop if there is a ceasefire, our efforts should be on the ceasefire and supporting South Africa’s case, instead we are helping target and kill people??? Why is it that allegations from a right wing attack media vehicle of Golriz shoplifting is a more important story than NZ helping America bomb someone??? With sweltering temperatures set to continue for most New Zealanders on Saturday, it’s high time to take advantage of the heat, sun and beach visits. It will continue across the North Island on Monday, with a few places set to experience heavy rain. On Saturday, a heavy rain watch is in place for Fiordland from 5pm until 11am on Sunday with periods of heavy rain expected. Westland also has a heavy rain watch in place on Sunday, from 5am through until 11pm, which could approach warning levels around the ranges. In Europe, a rapidly withdrawing United States military presence would likely force a settlement in Ukraine favouring Russia. These are not implausible events, but simply assume a more disciplined implementation of actions and statements in the first Trump Administration.” – Dr David Skilling, January 12 2024, SubstackA Trump administration withdrawing from NATO would not be easy to achieve. In international trade, Trump has floated the idea of encircling the whole of U.S. industry with a 10% tariff, which would bring a fresh wave of disruptions to supply chains. If we can recall the impact to New Zealand of massive supply chain disruption across most of our manufacturing and construction base, under Trump prepare for it again. Trump and Biden have been in lock step when it comes to a hawkish position on trade with China.

…the underfunded news rooms of NZ are desperately attempting to generate clickbait for their failing business models. ZB Plus is NZME’s attempt to cash in on hate algorithms and promote far right content under. There is a case of Genocide being heard against Israel right now and all NZ Media prefer to cover is shoplifting allegations and in Newshub’s case, ‘misgendering’ someone. America has claimed we were involved in this attack……let me get this straight, we are involved in attacking another nation yet the news media focus on shoplifting allegations and someone misgendered in a Briscoe’s store? Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

Maree's house was a 100-year-old villa with a distinctive bright green roof, on a large property overlooking a busy roundabout near Waiuku's township. In December, a notice was posted by council inspectors saying that a 1.5m retaining wall associated with the development had been insufficient to support Maree's home. A bigger, more substantial retaining wall had been proposed, but subsequent earthworks which were left exposed for months had destabilised the wall, leaving the property at risk of collapse. Mehami said the situation had happened because his builder had "disappeared" and failed to do an "inspection" of the retaining wall. Maynard also encouraged anyone who found themselves living in a tent to apply to Work and Income for emergency accomodation.
