The Palaver Punch always reminds me of old friends. But this is a flexible holiday punch that works with many different gins; the important thing is palavering with folks you care for. The word palaver describes something needlessly overcomplicated, but one could argue that punch’s complexity isn’t needless. This punch is sweetened with a rich demerara sugar syrup, which means a syrup made from two parts demerara sugar to one part water (as opposed to a simple syrup which is equal parts). The rich syrup will keep for up to a month in the fridge and can be used to sweeten a wide range of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.

Asked about Biden’s remarks, foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said: “This kind of speech is extremely wrong and is irresponsible political manipulation. China firmly opposes it.”“I need to point out that there are always some people with ulterior motives attempting to sow discord and wreck China-US relations, and this too will not succeed,” she added. But speaking after his meeting with Xi on Wednesday, Biden told journalists he still considers the Chinese president a “dictator”. He had sparked fury from Beijing by making the comparison earlier this year. “Well look he is, I mean he’s a dictator in the sense that he’s a guy who’s running a country, a Communist country, that’s based on a form of government totally different than ours,” Biden said.

With impacts far beyond the source regions, an estimated two billion tonnes of sand and dust now enter the atmosphere every year, an amount equal in weight to 350 Great Pyramids of Giza. “Sand and dust storms (SDS) have become increasingly frequent and severe having substantial transboundary impacts, affecting various aspects of the environment, climate, health, agriculture, livelihoods and the socioeconomic well-being of individuals. The accumulation of impacts from sand and dust storms can be significant,” says Feras Ziadat, Technical Officer at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), Chair of the UN Coalition on Combating Sand and Dust Storms. “It is a costly phenomenon that wreaks havoc everywhere from Northern and Central Asia to sub-Saharan Africa.”“Sand and dust storms present a formidable challenge to achieving sustainable development. However, just as sand and dust storms are exacerbated by human activities, they can also be reduced through human actions.” While sand and dust storms (SDS) are a regionally common and seasonal natural phenomenon, the problem is exacerbated by poor land and water management, droughts, and climate change, according to UNCCD experts.

The NEC, in session, agreed to suspend the industrial action following a plea by the National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu . The organised Labour had earlier held a meeting with the NSA who begged the workers to end the industrial action to allow for amicable resolution to the issues. The President of Turkey, Tayyip Erdogan, tagged Israel a terrorist state during an address before the Turkish Parliament on Wednesday. Erdogan is one of the world leaders who has been vocal against Israel’s bombardment of Gaza since the conflict started in October. I am now saying, with my heart at ease, that Israel is a terror state,” he said in the televised address. His statement is in sharp contrast to the rhetoric of several other world leaders, especially in the West. In his speech, Erdogan tackled the Western allies, especially the United States, stating that they were still seeing the conflict in “backward” terms.

A clear cocktail is a clear cocktail is a clear cocktail. A clear cocktail is a clear cocktail is a clear cocktail. A clarified drink dazzles; it confounds as it flabbergasts. For bartenders these days, a clarified cocktail can also be a repudiation of the classic cocktail’s hegemonic stranglehold on the standard bar menu. A clarity of purpose alongside clarity as its own objective is how clarification techniques were popularized during the 2000s.
