Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Monday arrested two terrorists associated with the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Swat. The TTP terrorists named Asmatullah and Rafiullah aka Jawad were arrested by police, the KP IGP said. Giving the details about the arrest of two TTP operatives, the KP IG said police launched an operation on the information of the presence of terrorists on May 23 in Buner. A day after an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore ordered the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Yasmin Rashid in the Jinnah House attack case, the Punjab police announced to approach the high court against the order. “The court order is being challenged as police were not given the opportunity to present forensic evidence in the case. ACC Deputy Director Md Salahuddin, the investigating officer in the case filed against 14 individuals, including Prashant Kumar (PK) Halder, on charges of illegal wealth acquisition and money laundering, faced rigorous interrogation by defence lawyers on Sunday. On January 8, 2020, the ACC filed a case against PK Halder for acquiring and smuggling illegal assets worth Tk275 crore. The investigation officers of the case have uncovered information about embezzlement and smuggling of around Tk3,000 crore. On May 14 this year, PK Halder was arrested in Ashoknagar of India's West Bengal.

HYDERABAD-The vigilance teams of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Saturday caught 100 students using unfair means during the examination of Chemistry subject during the ongoing HSC part II exams. According to the Controller Examinations Masroor Zai, 99 students were caught in the copy cases and one for impersonation in 6 out of 9 districts of Hyderabad division where the board was conducting exams. As many as 54 copy cases were reported from Matiari, 31 from Hyderabad, 5 from Badin and 4 each from Tando Allahyar and Jamshoro. A team of the BISE caught an impersonator at an examination centre in Thatta.
