LAHORE – A five-day training workshop continued for intending Haj pilgrims by the Ministry of Religious Affairs at Alhamra Arts Council here on Tuesday. Assistant Director Haj Arif Zahoor chaired the session while Master Trainers Tariq Mehmood, Younis Mughal, Allama Imran Bashir, Qari Abdul Wahid Qureshi and others briefed more than 700 intending pilgrims on the fourth day of training.

The federal cabinet was also assured that any anti-State long march in the future would be dealt with an iron hand. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif mentioned that he had directed the Interior Ministry and the law enforcement agencies not to carry any weapon at the venue of the long march. The Interior Minister said PTI Chief Imran Khan used resources of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in his march. The Interior Minister assured that no one will be allowed to make a siege of the Federal Capital.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Monday said that if the Supreme Court did not provide his party protection for the next long march, he would opt for a different strategy wherein they would be prepared to deal with the situation. Addressing a lawyers' convention, the former prime minister said: "The PTI will make a plan for dealing with the obstacles. He termed the long march “jihad”, saying that he would not accept the imported government at any cost. Imran asked the apex court to give a ruling providing an explanation why obstacles were placed to stop the PTI from holding the long march. In a comment on the audio clip, PM Shehbaz stated that the alleged conversation between Zardari and Malik Riaz exposed Imran Khan's "hypocrisy and double standards".

Former federal minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid has taken a swipe at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying that how could he serve the nation when could not even bring his brother — Nawaz Sharif —back to Pakistan from London in three years. In November 2019, convicted former premier Nawaz had left the country after he signed a court-approved undertaking, saying that he would return to the country within four weeks. Rashid said the government with one vote majority did not have any authority to represent 220 million people of the country. “I am going to the Supreme Court to give the right to vote to overseas Pakistanis. Minister for Information Technology Amin-ul- Haque says exports of information technology sector have crossed two point two-five billion dollars. Addressing a ceremony in Lahore on Monday, he said all facilities are being provided for start-ups in the country. Amin-ul- Haque said that the Ministry of Information Technology is taking effective measures to persuade various local and foreign companies for start-ups in Pakistan. He informed that a five percent increase has been witnessed for investment in start-ups.

He said women entrepreneurs and minority-owned businesses hire more people of colour and pay higher wages than larger national chains. He said our people are patriotic and always loved buy Pak products even if it at least meets national standards. Meher Kashif Younis said buying from small businesses that source local products can reduce environmental impact. For example, small businesses clustered near residential areas may reduce automobile use and traffic congestion, resulting in better air quality and less urban sprawl.
Deposed prime minister Imran Khan on Sunday asked his supporters to prepare for the next march towards Islamabad, saying he would never give up his jihad against the ‘imported’ government. “I ask of the entire nation to prepare and wait for my call for the protest,” Imran told participants of a workers’ convention in Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The former premier said his party would leave no stone unturned this time to prepare for the long march. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman went on to say that the nation would never forgive “Rana Sanaullah, Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz for their act of tyranny” against peaceful protesters. He added that “no country in the world would use tear gas shells on protesters in the way that the government did”.
