In September, following a General Border Committee (GBC) meeting in Koh Kong, he expressed optimism, particularly regarding the Nong Chan dispute. He said Thailand and Cambodia could adopt a "Nong Chan model" to resolve differences peacefully, while Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul proposed opening additional border crossings. A constructive starting point would be the Nong Chan issue.
