Enforcement, including a heightened emphasis on pregnancy and religious bias, will stress “individual rights over group rights” she said, and eschew identity politics. And civil rights advocates contend this pivot detracts from its mission. Most employers with at least 15 employees are bound by EEOC regulations, which apply to such workplace practices as hiring, firing, promotions and wages. Meanwhile, 37 of the 93 merit lawsuits the EEOC brought pertained to sex or pregnancy discrimination. The EEOC should “have in mind an even application of our civil rights,” regardless of factors such as race, gender and religious background, Bray said.

LOS ANGELES — If the Chinese zodiac is to be believed, 2026 could be a big year for UCLA athletics. Those shifts are already afoot with the hiring of Bob Chesney as the football coach and a women’s basketball team that could be on the verge of another breakthrough after reaching the Final Four in 2025. Chesney must convince as many transfers as possible that he can win big in Westwood to accelerate his rebuilding efforts. Iamaleava’s return ensures that Chesney has the quarterback he needs to win at a high level in his debut season. Max out the rosterUCLA has a defense-driven basketball coach who lacks the players needed to play defense at a high level.

LOADING ERROR LOADINGPresident Donald Trump seemed grumpy about getting overlooked by the Nobel Peace Prize committee at a meeting with Israeli leaders at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on Monday. No,” he griped to Netanyahu, who actually was the one who nominated Trump for the Nobel back in June. After crediting himself for ending “eight wars,” Trump was cut off while in the middle of saying that the prize committee “gave the Nobel” to someone else. And then I’ll tell you the rest of it.”AdvertisementPresident Donald Trump, right, was caught complaining about being snubbed by the Nobel Peace Prize committee while meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his Mar-a-Lago club on Dec. 29, 2025, pictured together here. Most things in this world have their good points and their not-so-good points, and this is certainly true of “The Copenhagen Test,” a science-fiction spy story about a man whose brain has been hacked. Three years later, Hale is working for the Orphanage, a shadowy American intelligence agency that spies on all the less-shadowy American intelligence agencies — watching the watchers. As parties unknown look through Hale’s eyes, the Orphanage is watching Hale with the usual access to the world’s security cameras. “The Copenhagen Test” isn’t selling a surveillance state metaphor, in any case; this is just one of those “Who Can You Trust?” stories, one that keeps flipping characters to keep the show going, somewhat past the point of profitability. I can’t go into details without crossing the dreaded spoiler line, but even accepting the impossible tech, much of “The Copenhagen Test” makes little practical sense, including the eponymous test.
