The report indicated that public records at the Dauphin County Prison show that Nortey was denied bail after he was arraigned before the court. He became the parliamentary candidate of the NPP after beating Philip Kojo Addo Addison and Samuel Nii Adjei Tawiah in the party’s primaries.
