Speaking after the declaration of votes on May 28, 2022, Wontumi said,“Our campaign of breaking the 8 has started from Baba Yara Stadium, NDC cannot stop us”. The NPP regional executives elections commenced on Friday, May 28, 2022, with the Ahafo, Bono-East, Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East and Western North regions holding their elections. Ashanti, Eastern, Greater Accra, Oti, Volta, Upper West and Western regions had theirs held on Saturday while the Bono Region is set to conclude its election today, Sunday, May 29, 2022.

Residents of Pantang have caused the arrest of some workers of Trasacco for unlawfully entering their lands to carry out a demolition exercise. William Kwasi Amekor, according to information, entered into the land without an entry judgement or a Court order. He has also entered the lands without a Writ of Possession and was not accompanied by any Court Bailiff. However, William Kwasi Amekor who was working on orders of Ernesto Tarricone allegedly stormed the properties of residents in the company of hired men from Kasoa who posed as Court officials to execute supposed Court Orders. Angry residents who said they have endured the conduct of Trasaco on their lands, burnt down an excavator that was brought for the demolition and alerted the police who acted swiftly in restoring order by arresting William Kwasi Amekor.

The elections which started on Friday, May 27, has seen 14 regions voted for their regional executives, with one going to be held on Sunday, May 29 and one being outstanding due to court injunction. The regions which has voted for their regional executives include: Ahafo, Bono-East, Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East and Western North. UPPER WESTSanbaye B Kangbere, popularly known as Chairman Heavy Weight and the incumbent Chairman won the elections with 130 votes. ASHANTIBernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, was re-elected for the third time as the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the party. All the incumbent executives, as well, won thier seats, except the Women Organiser.
