But the case was thrown out on technical grounds in September last year, with chief magistrate Paul Goldspring ruling that the proceedings were “instituted unlawfully”. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) announced the following month that it would appeal against the decision, stating that the case involved an “important point of law which needs to be clarified”. O hAnnaidh is opposing the appeal, with Kneecap stating last year that “we will win again." Officers may contest the ruling if they consider the case, which centres on Hezbollah, does not concern the affairs of a foreign state.

Ueli Kestenholz, an Olympic bronze medalist and decorated Swiss snowboarder, has died in his native country after being trapped by an avalanche. Valais police say the 50-year-old father of two was snowboarding with a skier friend along a remote slope in the Lötschental valley when an avalanche was triggered. A hazard map of the area classifies much of the Lötschental valley as a high risk for avalanches. Ueli Kestenholz, an Olympic bronze medalist and decorated Swiss snowboarder, has died in his native country after being trapped by an avalanche. In total, Kestenholz won 14 World Cup titles over his decorated career.
