'You're more likely to make friends by saying "Aboriginal person", "Aboriginal" or "Torres Strait Islander". And if you are talking about both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, it's best to say either "Indigenous Australians" or "Indigenous people".' 'The use of Aboriginal as an adjective, forming noun phrases such as Aboriginal people, Aboriginal woman, Aboriginal Australian etc is preferred by many. The Aboriginal Advisory Group from Community Legal Centres NSW suggests using 'Aboriginal people' or 'Aboriginal person' which it says are both 'more positive and empowering'. As usual the Russian prelude to Ukraine “peace” talks is a brutal reminder of its power, and so the first three-way peace talks this weekend between Russia, Ukraine and the US were ushered in by a wave of drone attacks on Kyiv, striking its battered energy system, leaving 6,000 buildings without heating. The draft 20-point peace plan under discussion originated in the autumn as a proposal negotiated between the US and Russia. It has since been revised several times, with input from Ukraine, the US, European states and other countries. The Ukrainian side said yesterday that headway had been made on the critical area of US security guarantees. Ukraine’s European partners remain excluded from the talks despite their centrality to any prospective deal and the repeated insistence by Washington that Ukraine is Europe’s problem.

The title race was blown wide open on Sunday afternoon as Manchester United marched on under Michael Carrick, toppling the Premier League leaders away from home. As for Arsenal, though, it's two points from their last three Premier League games, and a rut for the table toppers. HARRY MAGUIRE - 8His height and presence were crucial against the Gunners' high balls and set-pieces, and did his job superbly until they scrambled in the second goal. Kept a cool head when the Gunners took a stranglehold of the game, and when United had to hold on at the end. KOBBIE MAINOO - 7.5Only his second Premier League start of the season but looks like he's never been away.

The UK boss of PwC said 'materially' more companies are looking to list on the stock market – fuelling hopes of a revival in the City. Marco Amitrano, the auditor's senior partner, said reforms to market rules have helped to boost interest in firms going public in Britain – following a dearth of floats in recent years. He told the Daily Mail: 'There's more organisations looking at London to potentially list than there were this time last year.' Amitrano would not disclose the names of any companies planning initial public offerings (IPOs), which are among the kind of deals that PwC works on. A 2026 revival would build on glimmers of hope seen late last year when Shawbrook bank, Beauty Tech and Princes floated.

Liverpool have pulled out of talks with Tottenham over their approach for veteran full-back Andy Robertson. The Londoners made their move late last week as under-pressure boss Thomas Frank sought to add some much-needed experience to his squad. Liverpool listened to the approach in recognition of Robertson’s contribution to the club in the last eight-and-a-half years and the fact he is out of contract in the summer. However, the Press Association understands the club have decided against continuing negotiations over the Scotland captain, who turns 32 in March, after considering their options. Fellow centre-back Ibrahima Konate has missed the last two matches following the death of his father.
