Another retired officer told the trial of three men accused of the murder how he heard a “horrifying” scream after the shot which killed Ms McKee was fired. Ms McKee, 29, died after being hit by a bullet as she stood close to police vehicles while observing rioting in the Creggan area of Londonderry on the night of April 18 2019. On Wednesday morning, the non-jury trial heard from a series of PSNI officers who were on duty in Derry during the disorder the night Ms McKee was shot. The trial has previously heard how police Land Rovers had come under attack from rioters. One officer described the scene in the Creggan area just after Ms McKee was shot.

A dealer who supplied multi-million pound shipments of drugs and a convicted murderer are among a group of criminals caught on camera partying in prison and chanting vile racism. The video shows Hinchcliffe and a number of other individuals inside a cell listening to dance music and drinking suspected alcohol. We understand the video was taken inside HMP Buckley Hall - a category C prison near Rochdale - on Friday, May 24. The ECHO has muted the video because of the vile racist language used by the prisoners. The ECHO understands the videos were shared online but have since been removed.

KUALA LUMPUR: The autopsy for the remains of climber Zulkifli Yusuf has been completed on Monday (local time), and the body is now in a mortuary in Alaska awaiting repatriation to Malaysia, according to the Alpine Club Malaysia. "So far, we have not received any details regarding the flight expected to bring back the remains of the deceased," the post said. "Before being brought back, the body will be bathed and shrouded with the cooperation of the Islamic Community Center of Anchorage in Alaska." The High Court has blocked the nomination of Zablon Muruka Mokua as a judge of the East African Court of Justice (EACJ). This comes after Dr Mokua's selection was challenged by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK). The LSK challenged the nomination of Dr Mokua arguing that he does not qualify for the post. “Further, a conservatory order is hereby issued suspending any further consideration, deliberation, processing, approval, or appointment of the 3rd Respondent (Dr Mokua) as a Judge of the East African Court of Justice First Instance Division, pending the hearing and determination of this Application,” Justice Mugambi ruled. Dr Mokua, who served as an MCA for Basi Central Ward in Kisii County from 2017 to 2022 was nominated on April 18, 2024 by East African Community Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza to replace Justice Charles Nyachae who resigned in January.

Dubbed 'Ruto Reloaded Movement', the team said it will lead a national campaign to sensitise Kenyans about the Kenya Kwanza achievements over the last two years.
