On Friday night, US President Joe Biden announced what he said was an Israeli peace plan for Gaza including a ceasefire, release of all hostages, an IDF withdrawal, and, implicitly, movement towards a two-state solution. But Netanyahu's political career has been dedicated to blocking any two-state solution. Opinion polls also show that the vast majority of Israelis also oppose the two-state solution although they think the war in Gaza is unwinnable and want Netanyahu to go. So the war in Gaza will go on and Netanyahu will remain in power unless Israel accepts the two-state solution. Israel needs to be pressured to accept the Biden deal.

Move over, Pepsi, there's a new favorite in town! Well, actually, it's a favorite in the entire nation- and it hails from the great state of Texas! Dr. Pepper, of course, has lots of different flavors like their Strawberries & Cream and their limited summer flavor Creamy Coconut. However, in the ranking, the regular Dr. Pepper is what's ranked as second favorite- not all the different flavors you can find. Religious extremism or religious movements with a cultic flavour are not new in Kenya. As far as religious extremism is concerned, Kenya’s focus has been on Islamic extremism, including what constitutes “terrorism”. Preventive measures can therefore be designed to address not just Islamist extremism but all forms of religious extremism. I would place the Shakahola cult deaths within the narrow confines of cultism and religiously inspired violent extremism. This is very close to violent extremist groups such as Al-Shabaab or Daesh who follow rigid religious value systems and beliefs.
