A Nigerian couple has been arrested for the murder of a Nigerian woman identified as Happiness Monday, in Libya, IGBERETV reports. The Libya Observer, on Wednesday, April 13, 2023, said police forces arrested the couple in Tripoli. It was reported that the suspects allegedly killed the woman and dumped her body in the street near the Nigerian Embassy in Tripoli. Cavusoglu's comments come as the two countries work to mend ties after being at odds for a decade, having cut diplomatic links following the overthrow of Egypt's then president and Ankara ally Mohamed Mursi. CAIRO – 13 April 2023: Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that his government will encourage Turkish companies to increase their investments in Egypt, especially in tourism sector. He added during joint press conference with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry that Ankara seeks to increase trade exchange with Egypt to $15 billion. The Turkish foreign minister said that during his visit to Cairo he asked about the possibility of allowing several Turkish institutions to operate again in Egypt. Turning to the Syrian file, the Turkish foreign minister said that there is a four-way meeting on Syria to attain security and stability in its lands. The Turkish foreign minister, meanwhile, congratulated the Turkish and Egyptian people and the Islamic world on the occasion of Laylat al-Qadr and Eid al-Fitr.

The Libyan Internal Security Agency says police have detained a US citizen for inviting to convert to Christianity. The American was arrested for "inciting our children to renounce Islam and convert to Christianity," the agency said in a statement on Thursday.
