PwC's Richard Nacey and Stephen White say they were appointed voluntary administrators of Supie Limited, Workerly Limited and Bevie Limited on 30 October (Monday), by resolution of director Sarah Balle. "The Supie Group operates a well-known online grocery business in Auckland. "As voluntary administrators, we don’t have sufficient funding to continue to trade the business in administration. "While the voluntary administrators are yet to establish the full extent of creditor claims across the Group, initial estimates suggest they will be in the vicinity of $3 million."

Home loan rates might be sitting at about 7% for a two-year fix at the country's big banks, but borrowers need to prove they can pay a lot more than that, to get a loan. ANZ has increased its test rate, the rate at which it checks that borrowers can afford a loan. It is now using a test rate of 9.1%. Broker Glen McLeod of Edge Mortgages said another small increase in the test rate would not mean much for borrowers, given the test rates were high anyway. Chris McKeen/Stuff ANZ has lifted its home loan test rate.

Zara Kirkpatrick, 13, has won gold twice at the Judo Nationals in Wellington. Rakaia teen Zara Kirkpatrick returned from injury to secure two gold medals at the recent Judo Nationals in Wellington. She is now a four time age group national champion after winning gold medals at the nationals in Rotorua both in 2019 and 2022. Zara Fitzpatrick’s double gold medal haul came off the back of an injury earlier this year. Now with four national gold medals under her belt, it is Zara’s only sporting code.

United Airlines’ first Los Angeles Airport (LAX) to Auckland (AKL) summer seasonal flight arrived 90 minutes earlier. Next month American Airlines will also begin operating a seasonal service on the Los Angeles route with daily flights. Beyond the new route between Los Angeles and Auckland, the carrier will soon add more flights between Los Angeles and Brisbane. Ferris said that the worst of weather is expected to hit Auckland, Northland, Coromandel and Gisborne today before starting to ease from tomorrow. A heavy rain warning is in place for the region, which began at 8pm last night. Additionally, scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms are forecast after the heavy rain has eased on Monday. Schools are closed today and bin collections have been cancelled due to the forecast heavy rain and strong winds. TV star Noel Edmonds told the developer of a cycle trail close to his home in New Zealand “you are the enemy” in a bizarre rant unleashed earlier this year during a meeting on his estate there. The news website’s journalists Tony Wall and Amy Ridout have been investigating Edmonds’ property purchases which have attracted some local opposition since he moved there last year.
