However, to those who watch the skies, Peter Jackson is also known for his large collection of both restored and replica vintage aircraft – specifically both British and German fighters from World War 1. With that said, it has been claimed over the last few years that he actually has more fighter aircraft than the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF). Technically, Jackson has more airworthy fighter aircraft than the RNZAF – even if they have been obsolete for a good 80-100 years and do not have weapons. As for why Jackson has an air force advanced by the standards of a medieval world like Tolkien's Middle Earth? Some people might say it's got out of control, I'd say it's evolved," added Jackson.

New Zealand wholesale interest rates have fallen sharply over the last month or so, suggesting mortgage rate cuts could be in store before long. Two-year swap rates, which can influence mortgage rates, currently trade at around 5.075 per cent, down sharply from 5.785 per cent in early October. “It’s all feeding through to the Reserve Bank’s [rate hikes] being done, and the next move being a rate cut,” Kerr said. Harbour Asset Management fixed income and currency strategist Hamish Pepper said the falls in wholesale rates should flow through into mortgage rates soon. “For now, wholesale rates have moved a lot more but retail rates have not moved at all, so that transmission is not really there,” he said.

New Zealand is currently experiencing its fifth wave of Covid-19, and it appears to be the largest spike in infections seen all year. According to Otago University epidemiologist Professor Michael Baker, the hospitalization peak during this fifth wave seems to be even higher than what was observed during the fourth wave. However, epidemiologists and modellers do not predict this wave to reach the heights of the previous wave in 2022. FAQs:Q: How many new Covid-19 cases were reported in New Zealand during the fifth wave? A: Health officials reported a total of 7,881 new Covid-19 cases during the fifth wave.

Video / NZ HeraldA drug deal gone wrong ended with a car crashing into a power pole after two teenagers fled a Dunedin property after being assaulted, police say. Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said police were called to a crash where a vehicle smashed into a power pole in Victoria Rd at 7.10pm on Friday. Investigations revealed the two occupants of the car, an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, had crashed after fleeing from an assault at a nearby property. In their haste to get away, they lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the power pole. The man had blood on his face as a result of the assault and not the crash, Senior Sergeant Bond said.

New Zealand's biggest insurer is urging the incoming government to push on with natural hazard risk reduction, climate change adaptation and managed retreat work to help keep insurance available and affordable in the face of stark impacts, and rising costs, from extreme weather and natural hazards. Average claim costs are rising, she says, noting average weather-related claim costs were $35,000 in Hawke’s Bay, $30,000 on the West Coast, and $21,000 in Gisborne Tairāwhiti. “For over a decade, we have been clear that New Zealand needs to take urgent action to keep people safe from the impacts of natural hazards and climate change. Supplied The RoboTruck is a touch shorter in length and width, and it’s also likely a little cheaper than its Cybertruck inspiration. From end to end, bottom to top, the RoboTruck is a clear Tesla Cybertruck knockoff. In its promotional imagery, one could almost be forgiven for mistaking the RoboTruck for being a halfway decent reproduction of the Cybertruck. The gap between the doors on the left-hand size is four times as wide as the equivalent gap on the right. MATTHEW HANSEN/STUFF Tesla has opened the doors to its second store in Auckland, featuring a huge car delivery area, parts area, and service center.

This is a technical war crime happening in real time and David and Ryan want to conflate the hostage release on par with halting immediate and technical war crimes? The response has to be proportional and what the IDF are doing in Gaza is a technical war crime! Meanwhile the National/ACT/NZF hustle is still frozen in time doing nothing but playing to their venal self interests and egos.
