Video / NZ HeraldAn Auckland man has been arrested as part of a major international enforcement agency swoop on an illegal online marketplace that sells stolen digital identities. The operation, named Operation Cookie Monster, was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dutch National Police, coordinated from Europol, and saw the takedown of Genesis Market. The New Zealand phase of the operation occurred in the early hours of yesterday morning in central Auckland, Detective Inspector Stuart Mills said. “A 30-year-old man located at the address has been arrested and a further search carried out.”Police alleged this man had purchased dozens of stolen credentials from Genesis Market, Mills said. “Once the information was purchased from Genesis Market, a user could emulate a victim’s online accounts which would enable them to commit further fraud offending.”FOR HELP:

COMMENTARY: By Rob CampbellJust as we are making some progress on diversity and inclusion policies in business governance and management my perverse mind is starting to have doubts. Initially around gender diversity I was an enthusiastic camp follower. Similar issues may hold back business governance diversity in terms of non-cis gender differences and neuro differences. Business is making pathways some for people from other cultures to become acceptable or suitable — on the terms of business. But business inclusion is inclusion into the world of business not business changing to match another culture, other than quite superficially.

Former prime minister Jacinda Ardern gives her final speech after 15 years as a member of parliament, with five in the top job, ahead of her official departure on April 14. Former prime minister Jacinda Ardern will depart Parliament this week for a role working on the Christchurch Call. Prime Minister Chris Hipkins earlier hinted that Ardern would be working on the Christchurch Call. Although this would be her job post-politics, a statement from Hipkins’ office said Ardern would not be paid for it. “Jacinda Ardern has declined to receive any remuneration as Special Envoy, and will commence her role on 17 April,” it said. On January 25, Ardern formally finished the job as prime minister by meeting with Governor-General Dame Cindy Kiro.
