Southern Nigeria youths, under the aegis of the Southern Nigeria Youth Assembly, have expressed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision to remove fuel subsidy, stating that if well implemented, it will benefit the country’s economy. Following their congress held yesterday, the youths urged the president to ensure that the benefits from the subsidy removal are well utilised. According to them, these individuals are worthy of becoming Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The group conveyed their confidence that these individuals would undoubtedly add value to President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope. Additionally, the group passed a vote of confidence on Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio and urged him not to disappoint southern Nigeria in his role as the Senate President.

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission has introduced a regulatory framework to address the country’s oil theft and illegal financial flow challenges. Fifteen people have died after an electricity transformer exploded on the banks of the Alaknanda River in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand.
