The Hoover Police Department went to 40-year-old Terry Given’s residence at 7:28 p.m. to serve a search warrant in relation to a recent bank robbery. Given’s reportedly refused to allow police access to his apartment and during subsequent negotiations, he ceased communication with police and not long after a shot was heard.
