Contrary to the estimates by the IMF the Federal Board of Revenue estimates the shortfall to be around Rs 50 billion. Although sales tax has not yet been imposed on petroleum products, the development levy has been jacked up to somewhat make up for it. An interesting thing to note however is that despite PDL having increased by the government, the price of all petroleum products witnessed a net decline. This briefing was held on the same day when the announcement regarding the revision of prices of petroleum products came out. Time will tell whether or not the government is able to meet its expected revenue targets and ease the concerns of the IMF.

Martial Law was lifted in 1972 with the enactment of the interim constitution followed by a permanent version in August 1973. Like Yayha Khan, the outgoing Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa has brought disrepute to his institution. There is no justification left for them to operate outside the barracks, their return is inevitable. ‘Barrackwalas’ have to return to their barracks where they rightfully belong.

Is this a problem where the guys on the ice have to be better as a whole? From there, we looked at the current losing streak the Oilers are on and how it’s been extremely frustrating to see them lose three consecutive games against teams that they should be beating more often than not. We also touched on the Oilers’ line combinations that Woodcroft is running with right now and whether it’s time to finally split up Connor and Leon after a few consecutive games of lacklustre results. Despite his early success, it was interesting that the Oilers got this extension done now rather than waiting until the offseason when his price could have gone up. Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ON Radio with another thrilling round of Word Association, Tyler’s signature segment that he spends literally seconds working on.

Share:The political contest between the PTI and the PDM took another turn this week as days before the planned dissolution of assemblies in KP and Punjab, a no-confidence motion was submitted against Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi in the Punjab Assembly (PA). As per the constitution, if a minimum of twenty percent of the total members move a no-confidence motion, it will have to be voted upon. Thus far, around 150 members have signed the motion with more members expected to join from outside of Lahore. This is being done to cover all the exits as it will strip the speaker of the power to dissolve the assembly. Some reports also suggest that other strategies are also being considered, such as Chaudhry Shujaat using his influence to bar MPAs from voting in favour of the CM in the no-confidence motion.

In Los Angeles, Weinstein faced seven counts of rape and sexual assault from four women for encounters between 2004 and 2013. Siebel Newsom and three other women offered testimony that provided the basis for the two counts of rape and five counts of sexual assault that Weinstein faced. They also highlighted that some of the accusers, including Siebel Newsom, kept in contact with Weinstein, which they argued did not make sense if he had attacked them. Siebel Newsom attended a pre-Oscars party hosted by Weinstein with her husband and sent Weinstein dozens of friendly emails over the years.

Green Bay comes into this game as a 7.5-point favorite, with the total on the line set at 39.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook. He was putrid outside the final couple of drives, which should show itself in a cold weather game tonight. Green Bay had a full bye and should be healthier as a result. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offense have figured out how to get Christian Watson involved, which has paid dividends.

Naek, who is a senior Pakistan People’s Party leader, said he fully endorsed the foreign minister’s statement wherein he pointed out that “He (Narendra Modi) was banned from entering this country (the United States). The Senate Foreign Affairs committee Chairman also demanded immediate release of Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik and all other Kashmiri leaders and people incarcerated on trumped-up charges. He said Yasin Malik and other political prisoners were victims of draconian Indian Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act (TADA), black law that aimed at targeting political opponents. “India’s malfeasant attempts to fallaciously implicate and incarcerate Kashmiri leadership in fabricated cases will neither dampen their (Kashmiris) morale nor dent their legitimate struggle for right to self-determination,” Senator Naek said.
