A contingent of Colorado Rockies prospects faced off against a contingent of Arizona Diamondbacks prospects in the third annual Spring Breakout game, and the heat ended up being a little too much for the Rockies prospects to handle. The first-pitch heat nearly foreshadowed the final score, with the Arizona team ultimately coming out on top in the duel in the desert. 3 PuRP) got the start for the Rockies prospect crew, and he did not have a good outing. He also attempted to steal a base, but was throw out by catcher Carlos Virahonda to end the second inning. 2 PuRP) went 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI, a walk and a strikeout, also knocking a double.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding with the Piscataquis River along the Maxfield and North Howland Roads. Additionally flooding of properties near or in low-lying and flood-prone locations between Maxfield and Howland is possible if ice shifts on the Piscataquis River. The Piscataquis River remains out of its banks due to the ice jam. Flood waters continue to slowly recede along the Maxfield and North Howland Roads. The barricades are there for your safety due to the potential for ice jam releases or continued flooding.

Sure, they put on their capes and saved the day in the fourth quarter. Mitchell scored 12 points in the fourth quarter, including the game-sealing and-one finish. If I were grading his fourth quarter alone, this would be a healthy A. Similar to Mitchell, Harden would get an A for his fourth quarter and probably an F for the previous three. Grade: D+Keon Ellis7 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 stealEllis gave the Cavs some defensive juice in the fourth quarter.

James Harden went scoreless in the first half while the Cavs mustered up just 19 points in the second quarter. Had it not been for a complete turnaround in the fourth quarter, I would have been prepared to call this the worst loss of the season. Fortunately, the Cavs flipped this around and held the Pelicans to just three three-pointers in the second half. The Cavs did enough in the fourth quarter to win this game. Naturally, fixing those issues in the fourth quarter is what led to them turning the tables.

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Let’s start off with the national poll results, which also discussed the World Baseball Classic this week. Here are the results:Previous Next1 / 3Personally, in regard to the first question, I’m firmly on the side of National Support. Jaitoine Kelly (Netherlands) - Became the youngest pitcher ever to start a WBC game, against Nicaragua, and tossed two scoreless innings in a 4-3 win. Kristian Robinson (Great Britain) - Had a rather disappointing WBC, going 1-for-9 with five strikeouts, leaving his OPS of .311, below even Clark.

The strike in Israel marked the first time in the war that its nuclear research center has been targeted. Advertisement“The war is not close to ending,” said Israel’s army chief, Gen. Eyal Zamir. Israel’s army chief, however, said Iran had fired “a two-stage intercontinental ballistic missile.” There was no statement from Iran. Britain has not participated in the U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran but has allowed American bombers to use U.K. bases to attack Iran’s missile sites. The Natanz facility was also targeted by the U.S. and Israel in the 12-day war last June.

Robert S. Mueller III, shown in 2019 when he was the special counsel investigating Russia’s ties to Donald Trump’s campaign, has died at 81. His 448-page report released in April 2019 identified substantial contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia but did not allege a criminal conspiracy. The outcome of the Mueller investigation also left room for Atty. But there were many successes as well, including thwarted terrorism plots and headline-making criminal cases like the one against corporate fraudster Bernie Madoff. Mueller was driven by a career-long passion for the painstaking work of building successful criminal cases.

A record-breaking heat wave is scalding California, with major consequences for the state’s most important reservoir: its snowpack. Conflicting roles for reservoirsMany of California’s reservoirs serve a dual role: stoppering flood flows and storing water for drier times ahead. But early snowmelt is complicating efforts to store that water. Improved forecasts after a major missEven as California suffers record heat and early snowmelt, the state is better prepared than in the past. “Things have substantially improved,” said Andrew Schwartz, director of UC Berkeley’s Central Sierra Snow Laboratory, in an email to CalMatters.

TEL AVIV– President Donald Trump threatened to strike Iran’s power plants if the country does not fully open the Strait of Hormuz by Monday, escalating his attempts to force Iran to reopen the waterway as energy prices surge. Iran’s escalating strikes on energy infrastructure across the Persian Gulf have also been stoking fears of a full-blown energy crisis. Human rights groups said more than two dozen people faced the death penalty in relation to the protests — and that potentially hundreds are facing charges. That is because Iran’s principal military force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, “has the upper hand,” the cable said. Last year, Iran executed an estimated 1,500 people — double the amount of the previous year, according to the nonprofit Iran Human Rights.

Cuba is again without electricity as power grid has collapsed for a third time this monthHAVANA -- HAVANA (AP) — Cuba’s power grid collapsed Saturday leaving the country without electricity for a third time in March as the communist government battles with a decaying infrastructure and a U.S.-imposed oil blockade. The state-owned Cuban Electric Union reported a total blackout across the island without giving a cause for the outage. Power outages, whether nationwide or regional, have become relatively common in the last two years due to breakdowns in the aging infrastructure. Saturday's outage was the second in the past week and the third in March. The Trump administration is demanding that Cuba release political prisoners and move toward political and economic liberalization in return for a lifting of sanctions.

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, pictured in October 2024, has seized thousands of ballots for an investigation that California Atty. Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, who is a leading Republican candidate for governor, has seized more than 650,000 ballots from last November’s election and is investigating whether they were fraudulently counted. Last fall, Proposition 50 passed in Riverside County with 56% of the vote — a margin of more than 82,000 ballots. AdvertisementA citizens group called the Riverside Election Integrity Team has said it performed an audit finding that 45,896 more ballots were counted than were cast. The sheriff, Bonta said, “has delayed, stonewalled, and otherwise refused to work with us in good faith” and failed to provide most of the requested documents.

LOS ANGELES — Appearing in his 1,612th NBA regular-season game Saturday, LeBron James claimed the league's all-time record for games played, passing Hall of Famer Robert Parish. The 41-year-old James started for the Lakers against the Orlando Magic on Thursday with the Lakers currently on a season-best eight-game winning streak. With the Lakers (45-25) surging up the Western Conference standings to third place during this winning streak, James has averaged 20.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists on 64.6% shooting from the field during the last five games. Already playing his record 23rd NBA season, the NBA's all-time leading scorer has also moved up to first in all-time field goals made, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar this month. "He's got to be insane," Lakers guard Austin Reaves said when James tied Parish's record Thursday against the Miami Heat.

President Donald Trump on Saturday cheered the death of Robert S. Mueller III, a towering figure in federal law enforcement whom the president viewed as a leading antagonist and the face of efforts to undermine his presidency. Good, I’m glad he’s dead,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social. The open celebration of Mueller’s demise fits a pattern for the president, whose instinct for bombast does not yield, even in death. Trump has sought to reduce Mueller in public memory to his last major role — and worked to discredit him. Rep. Michael R. Turner (R-Ohio) said Saturday on X that he respected Mueller’s longtime service to the country “no matter how controversial the Mueller investigation was.”
