Khartoum is – was – a city that did not know war or fighting in its recent history. I’m a scholar of Sudanese architecture who was born and raised in Khartoum by an architect father. Khartoum: City of hopeLike many African cities, Khartoum is divided into pockets of wealth and poverty. Leaving Khartoum means leaving behind assets, income-generating opportunities, access to education and healthcare. A war in Khartoum means not only the displacement of people and the destruction of buildings and infrastructure, but also the loss of a rich heritage.

In Libya’s case, I believe that the management of the dams was not good. The dam design must suit the topography. In Libya’s case, bad management appears to have been the cause of the dam’s collapse. When those responsible for the water management of the dam ignore heavy rainfall then one can expect such disasters to occur. Different scenarios are given according to the water level in the reservoir of the dam to prevent dam failure.

LIVERPOOL, England, Sept 17 (Reuters) - Arsenal claimed their first Premier League win at Everton for six years as Leandro Trossard's second-half strike proved enough to secure the points at Goodison Park on Sunday. Everton, still without a win this season, had managed to frustrate the visitors who had a Gabriel Martinelli goal ruled out for offside via VAR in the first period. Unbeaten Arsenal joined Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool on 13 points from five games, two points behind leaders Manchester City who have a 100% record. Arsenal's last league win at Everton in 2017 ended the reign of Ronald Koeman and while Sean Dyche is unlikely to suffer a similar fate, he has a huge task on his hands. But Arsenal eventually unpicked their defence with a short-corner eventually being fed in to Martin Odegaard who released Bukayo Saka on the right side of the penalty area.

Egypt stressed that the recurrent storming of the mosque and attempts to divide it in terms of time and place in violation of international law and related UNSC resolutions, would never change its historical and legal status as a purely Islamic worship place. The ministry renewed its call for influential international parties, and the United nations to fulfill their duties towards the Palestinian people. It also underscored Egypt's full commitment to backing the "unbending" Palestinian rights and all endeavors targeted at a fair and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian Cause.
