On March 9, in the NSE list of stocks with a market cap over Rs 10,000 crore, five stocks were highlighted in the RSI Trending Up scan, based on data from StockEdge.com. It is an uptrend signal if the RSI value has crossed above 50 from below. “RSI trending up” means that the Relative Strength Index (RSI) values are increasing, suggesting strengthening momentum in the price of the stock. This can indicate potential upward movement and may be used by traders to identify buying opportunities.
Iran is wagering it can outlast the United States and Israel--not militarily, but by grinding the war into a brutal contest of endurance. U.S. President Donald Trump told Republican lawmakers on Monday the war would continue until Iran is "totally and decisively defeated" but predicted it would be over soon. He added that once the United States is done with the military operation against Iran, Tehran will not have any weapons against the United States, Israel and U.S. allies for a long time. officials say a large share of Iran’s arsenal has already been destroyed, but regional sources say Tehran may still retain more than half its pre-war stockpile. What emerges may be a wounded Iran, but a bleeding Iran could prove just as dangerous -- and perhaps more unpredictable -- than the establishment that entered this conflict.
Shivam Dube had an amazing run in the tournament, turning up for the team whenever needed. India's T20 World Cup 2026 triumph was a testament to the team's ability to bounce back from adversity. During the last World Cup, too, I had a similar role, but that time I had only a couple of big knocks. In big tournaments like the World Cup, star turns alone won't win you the title. I didn’t promise anything to myself, and the goal was to win the World Cup at home," he said.

It is done in coordination with the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).In this first assessment cycle, approximately 30,000 km of National Highways spanning 24 states have been covered for the period July–December 2024.As per the NH-GCI, which is reported as a percentage value that represents the proportion of land covered by green cover within the RoW of National Highways at a granularity of one kilometre, Assam has 53.16% of green cover followed by Gujarat (46.91%), Telangana (43.57%), Bihar (42.77%) and Tamil Nadu (42.38%)Lowest green cover across national highways has been reported in Himachal Pradesh (13.5%), Delhi (25.37%), Chhattisgarh (27.82%), Odisha (30.25%) and Jammu & Kashmir (32.11%).However, the percentage green cover is dependent on the number of projects evaluated and their length.“Subsequent annual cycles will track year-on-year changes to monitor progressive improvements in green cover,” the ministry of road transport and highways said. The initiative aims to provide a scientific and quantitative assessment of green cover within the Right of Way (RoW) along the National Highways network by leveraging advanced space-based technologies. The assessment is derived from chlorophyll content detected through high-resolution satellite sensors, enabling an objective, technology-driven measure of vegetation presence along the left and right sides of the highways.
The events in Rajamahendravaram in Andhra Pradesh involving the mass poisoning of consumers by milk contaminated with ethylene glycol sound a regulatory alarm. The police have invoked Sections 103 (punishment for murder) and 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the BNS. Milk is a staple in Indian households and contamination by an industrial compound already infamous in India for its lethality carries the potential to trigger a crisis of confidence in local, unbranded milk supplies. This could push people towards pasteurised milk from regulated cooperatives such as Amul or Vijaya, which seems desirable, but a large share of milk is also distributed in India through small vendors. The risk of being detected becomes negligible and even the harshest criminal charges cannot amount to a meaningful preventive measure.
The World Obesity Atlas 2026, released by the World Obesity Federation recently, presents a troubling picture of children’s health — weight — around the world. The news is especially troubling for India that now ranks second globally in childhood obesity — an estimated 41 million Indian children are living with obesity. As of 2025, 14.92 million children (5-9 years) and 26.4 million adolescents (10-19 years) in India are classified as overweight or obese. India’s childhood obesity rates are surging by an average of 5% annually, marking one of the fastest-rising trends recorded anywhere in the world. Fatty liver disease is expected to jump from 8.39 million to 11.88 million cases among Indian youth while hypertension will affect 4.21 million Indian children in the next 15 years.
Where does India then stand in the US’s scheme of things under Donald Trump? Mr Landau underlined that India is a key partner of the US. This is an acknowledgement of New Delhi’s potential: Washington appears acutely aware of India’s economic heft and the lure of its market. New Delhi can no longer afford to ignore the harder, competitive, transactional edges that will colour its ties with Washington. How India navigates these emerging, unpredictable tides would be a test of its diplomatic and political acumen.

Yet, Western readings become the “default” answer, while Global South positions are relegated to “alternative” status or made invisible. A wake-up call for IndiaThe global AI landscape is moving toward bipolarity, dominated by U.S. and Chinese architectures reflecting their respective data models and assumptions. If the core infrastructure, computing power, and frontier models remain controlled elsewhere, sovereignty becomes a matter of permission. AI advocates who prioritise sovereignty, however, counter that exclusive reliance on foreign foundational models carry unacceptable strategic risks. U.S. models are trained predominantly on Western data and carry linguistic, cultural, and strategic biases ill-suited to India’s diverse realities.

Photo| AP Nation Concerns rise over toxic cloud from Iran after Israeli strike on oil plants; IMD monitors wind patterns Some meteorological experts have raised alarms about the toxic cloud potentially triggering acid rain and moving towards Northeast Asia, affecting several nations, including India. Jitendra ChoubeyNEW DELHI: Amid concerns of a toxic cloud of black rain drifting towards India, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) is closely monitoring wind patterns. Currently, the wind patterns and their elevation have kept India safe, while affecting regions more heavily in Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, China, and Southeast Asian countries. The wind patterns show a lower trough over east Iran and Pakistan, which will pass over India at higher altitudes. "Currently, the wind pattern from the Western Disturbance will help blow the toxic cloud away from the Indian Himalayas," the scientist added.
