Days after filing for divorce, actor-politician Vijay's wife Sankgeetha has again approached the Chengalpattu District Court seeking an order directing Vijay to allow her stay at the Neelankarai house until the divorce is finalised or to provide her with a similar alternative accommodation. Sankgeetha, who has been married to Vijay since 1999, filed for divorce on February 27 based on irreconcilable differences, allegations of adultery, and mental strain. In her latest plea, Sankgeetha mentioned that she doesn't have a house in Chennai as she holds a British citizenship and lives in London. Sankgeetha stated that without a court order, she may be denied access to the residence, which would cause hardship. She also mentioned that Vijay provided the family with a comfortable lifestyle and took care of them.

जागरण संवाददाता, किशनगंज। किशनगंज के कांग्रेस सांसद डॉ. जावेद आजाद ने सीमांचल क्षेत्र को अलग राज्य बनाए जाने की मांग का समर्थन किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि सीमांचल समेत आसपास के जिलों को मिलाकर यदि अलग राज्य बनाया जाता है तो इसका स्वागत किया जाएगा। शनिवार को पत्रकारों से बातचीत में सांसद ने कहा कि बिहार के अंतिम छोर पर बसे होने के कारण सीमांचल क्षेत्र विकास की दौड़ में काफी पीछे रह गया है। उनका कहना था कि राज्य मुख्यालय पटना से दूरी अधिक होने के कारण सरकार का ध्यान इस क्षेत्र तक ठीक से नहीं पहुंच पाता है।सीमांचल की उपेक्षा का लगाया आरोप सांसद डॉ. जावेद आजाद ने कहा कि पटना से सीमांचल की दूरी लगभग 400 से 450 किलोमीटर है। इतनी दूरी होने के कारण प्रशासनिक और विकासात्मक गतिविधियों का लाभ इस क्षेत्र को अपेक्षाकृत कम मिल पाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि लंबे समय से सीमांचल के लोग विकास के लिए संघर्ष कर रहे हैं। ऐसे में यदि अलग राज्य का गठन होता है तो इस क्षेत्र के लोगों को विकास की नई संभावनाएं मिल सकती हैं।सदन में भी उठा चुके हैं मुद्दा सांसद ने बताया कि वह पहले भी संसद में सीमांचल क्षेत्र को लेकर अपनी आवाज उठा चुके हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि बिहार एक बड़ा राज्य है और कई बार बड़े राज्यों में दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों का समुचित विकास नहीं हो पाता। ऐसे में प्रशासनिक दृष्टि से छोटे राज्य बनने से विकास की गति तेज हो सकती है। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि बिहार से कुछ जिलों को अलग कर नया राज्य बनाया जाता है तो इससे क्षेत्र के लोगों को फायदा होगा।झारखंड का दिया उदाहरण डॉ. जावेद आजाद ने झारखंड का उदाहरण देते हुए कहा कि जब तक झारखंड बिहार का हिस्सा था तब तक वहां का समुचित विकास नहीं हो पाया था। लेकिन अलग राज्य बनने के बाद वहां विकास की रफ्तार तेज हुई है। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि सीमांचल क्षेत्र को मिलाकर अलग राज्य बनाया जाता है तो यहां के लोगों की स्थिति भी बेहतर हो सकती है।मतदाता पुनरीक्षण को लेकर केंद्र पर साधा निशाना इस दौरान सांसद ने पश्चिम बंगाल में चल रहे मतदाता पुनरीक्षण अभियान को लेकर केंद्र सरकार पर भी निशाना साधा। उन्होंने कहा कि मतदाता सूची के नाम पर कई जगहों पर मंत्रियों तक के नाम काटे जाने की खबरें सामने आई हैं, जो चिंताजनक है। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और गृह मंत्री अमित शाह राजनीति के लिए किसी भी हद तक जा सकते हैं।

WASHINGTON: Tornados tore through the central United States in a series of storms that continued into Saturday, leaving eight people dead and at least a dozen others injured, authorities said. Four people were reported killed in Oklahoma, where the twisters gained strength, and four others died further north in the Midwestern state of Michigan. The Branch County Sheriff's Office said a tornado touched down near Union City in southern Michigan on Friday, killing three people and injuring 12. "Our thoughts are with those who have lost family, friends, and property during this incident," the Branch County Sheriff's Office said in a statement. Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian reportedly apologised for launching attacks on neighbouring countries such as Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) amid conflict with Israel and the US.
