President William Ruto is scheduled to launch the country’s National Electric Mobility Policy this afternoon, as Kenya seeks to reduce its reliance on fossil fuel and move to green energy. The Ministry of Roads and Transport is launching the National Electric Mobility (e-Mobility) Policy at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre. The government says the need to promote electric mobility stems from several considerations pertaining to the country’s environmental, economic, social and technological challenges and opportunities. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced the exit of its Chief Executive Officer and Commission Secretary, Marjan Hussein Marjan. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Commission said the decision followed a mutual agreement to terminate his services, marking a leadership transition at the electoral body. The IEBC said Marjan’s departure brings to an end his tenure at the Commission and initiates the process of recruiting a new CEO and Secretary. A blood clot in the lungs caused the death of Umoja gym trainer Alphy Migasha, an autopsy has revealed. Grief engulfed Gem Sori Kachiena location in Rangwe subcounty after a 61-year-old man was killed over a land dispute. The deceased, identified as Joseph Owuoth, was killed following a dispute with a head teacher of a comprehensive school in the area.
