The country in the quarter exported 208,146 tonnes of produce, a rise from 171,384 tonnes in a similar period in 2023, according to the bank. Kenya’s main horticulture exports are vegetables, fruits and cut flowers, with the former comprising the bulk of the shipments in volume. The rise in horticulture exports is a continuation of 2023, when the East African nation’s earnings from the sector stood at 1.21 billion dollars, up from 1.14 billion dollars in 2022. In Europe, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom are the biggest horticulture produce markets for Kenya, while in Asia, there are China, India and Kazakhstan.

CAF announced new dates for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and it will have an impact on a number of leagues including Kenya. Confederation of African Football (CAF) finally announced the dates for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and as expected, the tournament will not be held in the summer. This is likely to be the same scenario for Kenya if Harambee Stars qualify for the tournament. However, it reverted to January and February in the last two editions which Harambee Stars missed. However, this might also be dependent on how many local-based players make it to the national team in the event Kenya qualifies.

The government of Kenya has reached a legal agreement with officials in Haiti for the deployment of its police officers to the Caribbean nation. According to sources privy to the information, the agreement was signed on Friday, June 21, by representatives from both countries. Cristobal Dupouy, special representative of the Secretary General of the Organization of American States in Haiti was also present during the event. PCS YahooWhile confirming the deal, Dupouy reiterated that the signing of the legal agreement was an important step which should accelerate the deployment process. However, the agreement did not reveal the exact date for the deployment of the officers to Haiti.
