Parents can also share their Apple Card with their children with optional spending limits and controls. iOS 14.6 also adds support for Apple Podcasts Subscriptions. Aside from iOS 14.6, Apple also released iPadOS 14.6, macOS 11.4, watchOS 7.5, tvOS 14.6 and HomePod OS 14.6.

An old garment factory building, owned by Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Bus Depot at Badulla was improvised as an Intermediate Care Center (ICC) forCOVIF-19 infectees by the Army and vested it in health authorities on Sunday (23). The Commander, Security Forces - Central, Major General Ranjan Lamahewage formally handed over this 260-Bed ICC, in addition to Army-improvised ICCs at Bindunuwewa (200 Beds) and Kahagolla (190 Beds), already functional in the UVA province. 112 Brigade troops on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding, 11 Division and the 112 Brigade Commander extended their skilled manpower and technical support for those improvisations in order to facilitate essential requirements of the medical staff and operational mechanism at those ICCs. This conversion process was carried out with the cooperation of Major General Kithsiri Liyanage, GOC 11 Division and Brigadier Anura Disanayake, Commander 112 Brigade. Chief Secretary Uva Provincial Council Mr. P. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Kingsley Ranawaka said that although the travel restrictions are to be eased today, SLTB buses will not run. However, he added that the provision of transport facilities for those engaged in essential services will continue. Also, the President of the Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association Gemunu Wijeratne told The Morning that private buses would also not run today as per the advice of the health authorities.

All the above-mentioned healthcare sector workers, PHIs, nurses and laboratory technicians are essential to the country’s Covid-19 management efforts, and without their contribution, the entire Covid-19 management process would collapse instantly. Also, it is their sacrifices that have prevented the shortage of resources from affecting the overall Covid-19 management efforts. The two Ministers tasked with dealing with the Covid-19 situation have on several occasions vowed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the healthcare sector workers. Failing to identify the healthcare sector workers as an integral part of the country’s Covid-19 management efforts is not the issue.

Malaysia has imposed and extended a mandatory quarantine period of 21 days for travelers from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Pakistan who have been given permission to enter the country. This is an additional seven days from the current 14 days quarantine imposed on travelers from these countries. All travelers are required to also do the RT-PCR test upon arrival at Malaysia’s international entry points. Ismail Sabri said the quarantine period for travelers from all countries has also been extended from 10 days to 14, and they are to be placed at quarantine stations. “The 14-day quarantine period will be extended for another seven days (bringing the quarantine days to 21) should there be a need for it.

The Bangladesh Bank board on Sunday approved in principle a draft $200-million currency swap deal with Sri Lanka, which is struggling to maintain a moderate foreign exchange reserve. The currency swap agreement would be finalized after getting a legal vetting approved by the government, BB officials told New Age after the meeting. Under the draft currency swap proposal, the BB would provide up to $200 million in foreign currency to meet Sri Lanka’s foreign currency expenditures, the officials said. The currency swap agreement also contains a rollover condition, allowing Sri Lanka to extend the period of repayment of the loan, the BB officials said. Before the move to strike a currency swap deal with Bangladesh, Sri Lanka has already signed a 10 billion yuan or $1.5b swap with the Peoples’ Bank of China and asked for a $1 billion swap from India, according to media reports.

The aim of the study is to understand if the combination of the vaccines is safe, and the immune response after adding the pneumonia vaccine to the existing COVID-19 vaccine, the company said. Some experts also believe a pneumococcal vaccine can help combat COVID-19. Pfizer is running tests of their vaccine booster shot combined with a pneumococcal conjugate vaccine. Bourla said his company is still in the early stages of trials for a booster shot, but some data on the shots may be available soon.
